KIM LONG MOTOR Signs Agreement to Supply 100 KIMLONG 99 Buses to NEXUS STAR CORP for the Philippine Market

Prior to entering the Philippine market, KIM LONG MOTOR had successfully exported multiple batches of buses to South Korea and Thailand—markets known for their stringent requirements in quality, safety, and operational performance. Establishing a presence in these demanding markets has laid a solid foundation for KIM LONG MOTOR to continue executing its expansion plans into the Middle East and other countries in the coming period, further affirming the position of Vietnamese commercial vehicles on the regional map.

NEXUS STAR CORP is one of the companies operating in the passenger transportation sector in the Philippines. The company owns an extensive operating network serving diverse travel needs of residents in Villasis City (Pangasinan Province, Philippines) and surrounding areas.

Under the agreement, KIM LONG MOTOR will supply its flagship KIMLONG 99 bus line, including both seated and sleeper versions. The KIMLONG 99 seated bus features a modern design and is equipped with a wide range of premium amenities, offering two configurations: 29 seats (Limousine) and 47 seats. These options cater to various transportation demands, from tourism and charter services to interprovincial and urban routes. Meanwhile, the sleeper version is developed specifically for long-distance routes, with flexible configurations ranging from 22 to 34 sleeper compartments, ensuring spacious comfort and delivering a distinctive, premium travel experience for passengers.

A key highlight of the KIMLONG 99 buses in this order is the integration of the new-generation YUCHAI K11 engine, delivering powerful and stable performance with fuel consumption of only 19–22 liters per 100 kilometers, while meeting the stringent emission standards of Southeast Asia. Notably, these engines are manufactured and completed at the KIM LONG – YUCHAI Engine Manufacturing & Assembly Plant, which was officially inaugurated by KIM LONG MOTOR on December 5, 2025. With an area of 6.5 hectares, an initial investment of USD 260 million, and an automation rate of up to 90%, the plant not only ensures a stable supply of high-quality engines but also demonstrates KIM LONG MOTOR’s technological mastery and its capability to manufacture export-oriented vehicles in accordance with international standards.

With full control over the entire bus manufacturing value chain—from mechanical processing and engine manufacturing to interior and exterior finishing—KIM LONG MOTOR is a pioneering enterprise in Vietnam to achieve comprehensive technological autonomy. Its factory system operates in compliance with international standards, applying modern production lines and stringent inspection processes to ensure product quality tailored to the specific requirements of export markets.
