KIM LONG MOTOR SIGNS PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH KIJSETTHI MOBILITY TO EXPORT 1,000 KIM LONG BUSES TO THAILAND
On the afternoon of December 9, 2025, at the KIM LONG MOTOR Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park in Hue, KIM LONG MOTOR Joint Stock Company and KIJSETTHI Mobility (Thailand) officially signed an agreement for the supply of 1,000 KIMLONG-branded buses to the Thai market. The contract marks a new milestone in the company’s journey to bring “Made in Vietnam” products to the global market. It also reaffirms the superior manufacturing capabilities and product quality of the KIM LONG brand, contributing to elevating the position of Vietnam’s automotive industry on the world manufacturing map.

KIJSETTHI Mobility is a highly experienced enterprise in developing comprehensive mobility service networks in Thailand, operating in commercial vehicle trading, spare parts supply, truck–bus repair and maintenance services. The company is also expanding into sustainable transportation solutions in the electric vehicle (EV) era. With a strong commitment to expanding its partner network and enhancing supply capacity, KIJSETTHI Mobility is an ideal partner to help KIM LONG MOTOR bring its products closer to Thai customers.
Under the agreement, KIM LONG MOTOR will supply KIJSETTHI Mobility with key bus models, including: 12m buses in internal combustion engine (ICE) and fully electric versions; 7.8m ICE buses; and a 7.5m electric bus model. All models are developed by the experienced engineering team at KIM LONG MOTOR’s R&D Center, perfectly meeting Thailand’s requirements for terrain, operation, and technical standards.
The 7.5m and 12m electric buses are considered the highlights of the contract, featuring a modern design, smooth operation, and eco-friendly performance. They are equipped with the latest BYD battery systems, manufactured at the Battery Production & Assembly Plant located inside the KIM LONG MOTOR Automobile Industrial Park in Hue. These batteries ensure stable performance, energy efficiency, and significant emissions reduction, aligning with Thailand’s roadmap for green transportation development.
Meanwhile, the KIMLONG 99 bus line (12m seating and sleeper versions) continues to demonstrate its strengths with a comfortable design and the latest YUCHAI K11 engine, featuring a displacement of 10,979cc, 410Ps power output, maximum torque of 1,000–1,400/2,000 N.m/rpm, and fuel consumption of only 19–22 liters per 100km. This engine line has been well received with over 2,000 units currently in operation, proving its stability and economic efficiency. In addition, the 7.8m Euro 5 bus, with its compact and flexible design, is considered ideal for urban routes with high traffic density in Thailand.
All products in the contract are manufactured at the KIM LONG MOTOR Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park in Hue — where automated production lines, digitalized management, and internationally standardized processes are applied. Notably, KIM LONG MOTOR’s engine and automotive production capabilities have been significantly enhanced after the official inauguration of the YUCHAI Engine Manufacturing & Assembly Plant on December 5, 2025. The plant's initial investment of USD 260 million and automation rate of up to 90% enables the production of various engine models meeting international standards for buses, minibuses, and next-generation commercial vehicles.
A representative of KIJSETTHI Mobility shared that the company had surveyed the production facilities and highly appreciated KIM LONG MOTOR’s capability to fulfill large orders in a short time. “We have strong confidence in this cooperation and expect that this agreement will open many long-term development opportunities. KIM LONG buses will be increasingly recognized by customers, contributing to bringing sustainable mobility solutions to the Thai market and the Southeast Asian region,” the representative said.
In the context of a rapidly transforming transportation ecosystem toward green – smart – sustainable development, Thailand is considered a strategic market with high technical standards and strict quality requirements. The signing and execution of the 1,000-bus order demonstrates that KIM LONG MOTOR’s product quality and manufacturing capacity meet Thailand’s rigorous standards, while also affirming the position of Vietnamese enterprises in the regional commercial vehicle supply chain. This milestone creates strong momentum for KIM LONG MOTOR to continue investing, enhancing production capacity, expanding markets, and pursuing its goal of becoming one of Southeast Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers and exporters.
