KIM LONG MOTORS INVESTS IN THE AUTOMOBILE, PARTS & COMPONENTS PRODUCTION COMPLEX IN THUA THIEN HUE

The KIM LONG Motors Automobile, Parts & Components Production Complex project in the Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone is being developed on an area of approximately 160 hectares, with an initial investment of around 3.33 trillion Vietnamese dong in the first phase. The project's goal is to assemble various types of passenger vehicles (Buses) meeting Euro 5 emission standards and beyond, with a production capacity of 16,000 vehicles, including two main products: buses ranging from 30 to 45 passenger seats and 16-seat shuttle buses.

According to the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, this investment aligns with the strategic development and planning of the Vietnamese automotive industry. It holds significant importance for the economic and social development of the province, contributes to the economic restructuring, increases local revenue, and provides employment for approximately 3,000 workers. The project is expected to become operational within 24 months.

Phan Ngoc Tho, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, stated that this project not only has a large scale but is also strategically important in the province's industrial development, utilizing the logistics advantages and port facilities. Thua Thien Hue Province also hopes that the project will positively contribute to the automotive industry's development and create a ripple effect, attracting investment in mechanical and supporting industries. Furthermore, after the project is successfully operational, the investor is expected to expand production to include various types of transport vehicles and specialized vehicles, aiming to establish a prominent automotive production and assembly center in the key economic zone of Central Vietnam, in conjunction with Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco) in Chu Lai.
