About a year ago, when passing through the road extending National Highway 1A towards Chan May Port, Thua Thien Hue Province, the familiar image was a deserted land of gravel and stones with few houses. Over time, from that "mountain-leaning, sea-facing" land, a modern automobile manufacturing and assembly complex has gradually taken shape. Long-distance travelers and even the people of Lang Co town were surprised by the change before their eyes. This project is the Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Complex invested by KIM LONG Motors, which is being constructed at a "lightning" speed.

Started in February 2023, after nearly 12 months of construction, the commercial vehicle manufacturing and assembly factory has been completed and officially put into operation. The factory is built on an area of 38 hectares, the production and assembly line includes a paint shop, a welding shop, an assembly shop, an inspection shop, and a test track area. All of these create a synchronous production process with high automation thanks to modern equipment such as ED coating line, high-precision welding robots, complete assembly line, inspection line with ABS anti-lock braking system and various simulated real-world terrains at the test track area. The total investment capital for the construction of the factory is VND3,500 billion with an expected capacity of 50,000 vehicles/year, operated by more than 700 experienced experts, engineers, and workers in the automotive field.

That is to focus all resources on researching, developing, and launching high-quality Vietnamese buses, typically products using Euro 5 standard engines that are environmentally friendly.

The first product of the KIM LONG Motors Complex is expected to be launched in February 2024

According to the information shared, KIM LONG branded bus products are expected to be launched in February 2024. In the first phase, they will meet the demand of domestic transportation businesses to increase the localization rate, and gradually export to potential markets in the region. KIM LONG Motors has also completed the plan to build a distribution system including modern showrooms and service centers across the country, helping customers easily connect, experience products and services.

When asked about the decision to enter the market with the bus product line, Mr. Vo Phi Hai - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of KIM LONG Motors shared: “Focusing on what is still lacking in the Vietnamese automobile market at present is an advantage. That is why KIM LONG Motors decided to enter the market at this time and chose the sleeper bus as the first product to be launched.
